For many St. Louis families it’s an annual tradition to attend a holiday show and see the Playbill Christmas tree at the Fabulous Fox theatre. The entire place has been transformed into a winter wonderland with all the lights and sounds of the season. Cirque Dreams Holidaze is whimsical family holiday show unlike any other.

Perfect for the entire family! The Cirque Dreams franchise has arrived at the Fabulous Fox in St. Louis and I was able to attend with my younger son for media night. We had such a fantastic time and it was a great opportunity to spend time together. It had been a few years since he was able to experience this particular show and it was also fun for me to see all the true circus moments through his eyes.
Cirque Dreams Holidaze is a broadway-style musical that is perfect for the whole family. Much like previous years/tours, it’s filled with breath-catching acrobatics, musical seasonal favorites, dance numbers and all the magic of the holiday season. Audiences of all ages will enjoy this specially themed holiday show.

Favorite Song
This holiday show is filled with so many original musical score options that are classic Christmas songs with new twists. I have to admit that I was drawn to the favorites like Holly Jolly. Both fun and festive in one!
Favorite Act
Typically I’ve been doing a favorite character for each show. For this one I’m going to do an act because that’s how the show is set up. You’ll find a world-renowned cast of performers in Cirque Dreams Holidaze. It’s most definitely a breathtaking spectacle that is filled with gravity-defying feats in the ensemble of aerial circus acts. I have to say that the acrobatics are my favorite in this production. You will walk away in amazement of the talent and ability to performing some really dangerous looking tasks.
Favorite Set Piece
While there is a backdrop of new sets in this broadway-style production from when we saw this themed show years ago… in my opinion the costumery is my favorite set piece. Some might not think of what the cast wears as part of the set when it comes a production, but I think that costumes are the indeed a set piece. Cirque Dreams Holidaze is filled with imaginative costumes that are so very festive with a whimsical holiday vibe.
Favorite Moment
SPOILER ALERT: There’s a polar bear. My son’s favorite moment was the polar bear. I mean he’s in 3rd grade. Ha! But my favorite moment was the jump roping reindeer. The acrobatics are of course amazing, too.
Favorite Snack
I’m loving all the winter themed Clementine’s ice cream flavors appearing at the Fox right now. Last night I had the hot chocolate with marshmallows ICE CREAM and it was fabulous.
