If you follow me on social media then I’m sure you have noticed that I have been spending a lot of time pool side. It’s summer time, the kids are out of school and the temperatures are hot, hot, hot. Pool life is so refreshing. Between the community swimming pool, Lake of the Ozarks, Lake Powell and pool time in St. George, Utah, my kids have been little fish this summer. That means that I’ve been sporting my flip flops even more than usual… Read on to see my picks for the best ones for wearing pool side!

While the kids are swimming, you know that I’m wearing my pool flip flops.

Only wearing the popular sandals during the summer? Oh who am I kidding? I live in flip flops and could wear them all year long. In fact I did just that during my college days in Utah. Those Californian transplants wore the open toed shoes even in winter so I caught onto the trend. We ran around in sweatshirts and summer shoes when it was freezing outside.

These days I reserve my flip flops for spring, summer and fall. Wearing them in winter weather in St. Louis just doesn’t work out so well. But you’re sure to find me next to the pool with some plastic flip flops. The plastic styles are both economical and durable for pool side.
