Why is Holiday World the best theme park in Indiana?
It has everything for everyone. Something for visitors of all ages. And besides just rides, there is so much to see and do.
What rides are in the Holiday World theme park?
As previously mentioned, the heartwarming Santa Claus Land in Southern Indiana is home to so many great options when it come to types of roller coasters. I personally find the wooden coaster types to be a little rough on me in my “old age”. At almost 44 I do remember the days when I could jump the rails from one coaster to the next, but these days the kiddie rides seem to be more my speed. Perhaps it has something to do with my sensitive vestibular system that I’ve acquired over the years or the fact that I have a little tot in tow now so hanging out in the young kids fun center that is for the little ones is right up my alley. At any rate it’s still a good time for me to experience the smaller amusement rides with my toddler.
Although… I do really like the Thunderbird wing coaster. It’s so smooth and didn’t feel like I was on a roller coaster at all. So I guess that you could say that I’m still a wing roller coaster kind of gal! Oh and the log flume ride. I could go on that one again and again. But is anything that doesn’t require to be strapped in really a thrill ride? I mean it’s basically just a boat ride with a few drops and some rapids. *wink*
And I love getting the delicious pineapple Dole Whip treat while at Holiday World!
