Cats The Musical
Cats has been around for a long time. Decades. 4 decades to be exact. Wow. That makes me feel really old because I’m going to level with you. I’m older than Cats the Musical.
When I realized that Cats first began in London in 1981… Well, I was shocked! Where has the time seriously gone?!

Cats at the Fabulous Fox Theatre
You’ll laugh and your heart strings will be tugged while watching the artistry of this show. If you aren’t familiar with the storyline (which I was not before going in), Cats is based on the T.S. Eliot collection of poems titled Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.
Not surprisingly, the musical’s story features all different types of whimsical cats. There’s also almost a feeling of struggle for attention, if you will, amongst the cats to determine which is more dominate. So many different characters.

Cats Newbie
I will say that this was the first time that I’d ever seen Cats. The whimsy of it all was definitely intriguing and I found the second half to be more enjoyable than the first. But perhaps that’s how it’s supposed to be intended. And perhaps it’s a musical that grows on you, meaning that you earn a new connection with this particular musical every time you see it.
Either way, the dancing music was Sure I didn’t understand the story and should have read up on it before attending, but the stage set, use of light and costumes are extraordinary.
Meow!
