80’s kids unite! BIG news is coming out of this year’s Toy Fair in New York City. You better sit down for this. Those 80’s classic Pound Puppies? They are coming back! All thanks to the toy company Basic Fun. And I’m so excited.

80’s Classic Pound Puppies Are Coming Back
You may remember that last year Basic Fun brought back a couple of my favorites: 30th Anniversary Retro My Little Pony and Lite-Brite. And 80’s kids everywhere rejoiced. This year Basic fun is bringing back the adoptable puppies. I had quite the collection of these darling pups. Have a look at a couple Christmases past AND the fabulous flash photography of the 80’s with my classic Pound Puppies.

They look just like the classic Pound Puppies! Let’s scream altogether now!
I related the news twice to my husband, because I thought he hadn’t heard me. Oh he heard. He just knew that meant we would be adopting some pups at our house!
We do have a few of these retro toys already at our house from my own childhood. Faded with time and well loved.
But we will definitely be adopting more!
Where to get the authentic reproduction Pound Puppies:
Look for the adorable puppies to make their return this fall. Like in the 80’s, there will be a variety of different pups to choose from. Your kids will want to adopt them all! Each Pound Puppy will come in a package shaped like a pet-carrier. Remember that?! Adoption papers and a care sheet are also included. PLUS, kids can give their adopted friend a name and write it on their tag!
These pups are going fast but you might be able to snag one HERE or HERE.
