What can I say? It has been a rough couple of months. Schooling has been taking place at home. Trips have been cancelled. We can’t really go anywhere, other than hiking, and stir craziness has started to set in. My hair? Oh, it has seen better days. I haven’t broken down yet to use a box of hair dye, because I’m afraid of what the results would be. Good thing that I have the solution for how to cover gray roots without having to use a box. Read on to find out how!

How To Cover Gray Without A Box Of Hair Dye

I sure do miss getting my hair colored! It has also been interesting not being able to get it cut. So many things that we take for granted. I feel selfish worrying about not being able to get my hair dyed when there are already so many other stressful things that are more important. It’s a difficult time for sure. Lots of adjustments have needed to be made. I’m having to cover gray roots at home and that’s okay. Social distancing is the new normal and who knows how long it will be this way. Stay safe and well, friends!

Temporary Root Cover Up

The first option for covering gray roots is by far my favorite. It’s easy to use and works well. Just spray on and go!

Some people find the brush on easier to use. I personally feel that the spray looks more natural as it blends well, but can see how the brush would be good for focusing on a specific area.

Permanently Cover Gray Roots

If you are interested in a way to permanently cover gray roots at home then the L’Oreal Paris brand has something for that too. I love that this option will cover gray roots permanently without having to do an all over cover.
