Happy May! April showers most definitely do bring May flowers. Everywhere I look flowers are in bloom. It’s a beautiful sight. Celebrate spring by creating a DIY April showers bring May flowers sign to decorate your home. I also have a free SVG file for you and the sign actually doubles as a unique wreath. It’s a Dollar Tree craft created with a plastic charger plate. A charger plate wreath!
DIY April Showers Bring May Flowers Sign Free SVG File
I don’t know about where you live, but we are still experience lots of April showers here… in May! We’ve had so much rain here in St. Louis. It most definitely has been good for the flowers!

Dollar Tree Craft Charger Plate Wreath
It’s so easy to make this unique wreath!
What you’ll need:
- Plastic charger plate (I got mine at Dollar Tree.)
- Springtime artificial flower bunch (Also got these pink flowers at Dollar Tree.)
- Wide ribbon
- Black craft vinyl
- Vinyl transfer tape
- Glue gun
If you get the majority of the supplies from Dollar Tree then you can make this spring wreath for under
$5!
What you’ll do:
Step 1 – Cut out the SVG file image on vinyl.
Step 2 – Get the free SVG file HERE. (If you’d like to make a larger sign then use this SVG file.)
Step 3 – Affix vinyl image to the plastic charger plate.
I like to use Cricut vinyl transfer tape.
Step 4 – Take layers of the artificial flowers apart.
Step 5 – Snip off stem to be flat at the base of the flower center.
Step 6 – Hot glue the bottom layer of petals to the charger plate.
Step 7 – Then hot glue the top layer of petals on top of the bottom layer.
Step 8 – Add the center of the flower to the center of the top layer of petals with hot glue.
Step 9 – Continue the above steps by gluing the flowers all the way around the charger plate. You can use as many or as little that you’d like. Or mix it up with different colors of flowers.
Step 10 – Attach ribbon to the back of the charger plate using hot glue.
Step 11 – Hang the springtime sign on a wall or inside door to decorate for springtime.
Step 12 – Or use as a front door wreath!
It’s that easy to make and the perfect for springtime craft!
