This week the internet went crazy over the DIY backyard guest house. So crazy in fact that the kit keeps selling out. The Allwood Solvalla is quite the beauty. When it comes to an additional structure in my backyard, I’m not looking into building it for the typical reason. Like when I say she shed… I’m in no way wanting to use it as the female version of a man cave. What I’m in need of is more of an office type of set up. Possibly a pull out sofa in said office to use for overnight guests, but mainly an area to run my businesses. Home office space is something that I absolutely need and putting it out back would be much easier than adding onto our house.

We have a fairly large home for our family size, but that does not include a set office space. So I unfortunately find myself working in various rooms throughout the house. Which means I have stacks of papers everywhere. I need a space to call my own where I can manage both this blog and the ice cream machine rental business in one place.

Wouldn’t this place make the perfect home office? It’s being marketed as a backyard guest house, cabin kit, garden house, or man cave (if you want something that isn’t in the basement dungeon), but all that I see is a she shed home office.
