How to Make an Easter Candy Charcuterie Board the Entire Family Will Love

Say no to traditional Easter desserts! This is by far the easiest dessert you will ever make. Or should I say create, because there is no cooking or baking in the making. Think of it as the contents of an Easter basket laid out on a large wood cutting board. Simply open up colorful candies that fit the Easter holiday season and place on a charcuterie board.

What is a charcuterie board?

‘Charcuterie’ is the French word that basically means meat from a butcher. While a traditional charcuterie board often incorporates something more savory like cold meats with cheese and crackers, there are so many different ways to create a beautiful board for grazing. A simple way to serve appetizers and the best part is it’s a great addition to any special occasion.

What is the most favorite Easter candy?

Of course everyone likes those peanut butter eggs so naturally they are the most popular. But it really all depends on who you ask. For me I love those little Cadbury mini eggs. And jelly beans (the Jelly Belly kind) are the best. Malted milk eggs. Chocolate eggs. Okay basically all the Easter candy is a favorite at our house. And who can forget about the most well known? The chocolate Easter bunny!

Easy to make Easter Candy Board

Grab all the sweet treats and get to work! It won’t take long to create this fun holiday treat display.

What you’ll need to create charcuterie board:

Wooden board or serving tray – The size of your board will depend on personal preference and how many people who will be

Easter candy – You can find everything you need at your local grocery store.

What different types of candies will work best for creating a candy charcuterie board?

There’s really no rhyme or reason to the type of candy that works best, but themed candy for the holiday is my preference and most would say ideal. In this case look for candy that is in pastel and springtime colors. These types of candies will give off the Easter vibe that you are going for. You can also add in a pop of color here and there, because that’s always fun!

Types of candy I used:

Chocolate bunny

Jelly beans

Peanut butter eggs

Chocolate eggs

Gummy candy

Chocolate-covered pretzels in a pastel color scheme

spring white chocolate covered pretzels

You can add a mixture of different types of candies to create sometime truly unique!

What you’ll do:

The first thing you’ll do to create this dessert appetizer idea is place a board or serving tray on a table. (I used a large wooden cutting board.)

Next start placing candy and other treats on the board. I like to start in the corners and then work inward from there.
