From the moment I was selected to host a Disney party to show my family’s #DisneySide I started planning the event.  Okay… Not gonna lie.  I was planning before I even received the acceptance email.  That’s how crazy we are about Disney at our house.  If I hadn’t been selected then I guess I would have still thrown a party.  Why?  Because I think it’s such a fun idea to have a Disney @Home Celebration!  So I just started planning away!  Coming up with the theme was not difficult for me at all.  I wanted to serve Dole Whip floats so of course the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disney needed to be the theme.  You know that tiki place where you can get the famous pineapple flavored yumminess…

Have you ever had one???

So very dandy.

After all we have these really dandy ice cream machines in our garage.

We also have a plethora of Dole pineapple soft serve mix at our disposal.

So that meant the perfect theme would incorporate those dandy Dole Whip floats.  The area closest to the Aloha Isle (where you can get a Dole Whip) is also a family favorite when visiting the land of mouse.  The Enchanted Tiki Room.

The first step was creating the invitations to send out to our family and friends.  Here’s what I came up with:

Then I got to work on collecting the luau type decorations.  Planning the menu.  Putting together the favors.  There was so much to do but was it ever fun doing it all!  I guess I just like throwing a good party.  I even worked overtime to create a bunting just for this special occasion.

All was set and ready for the party event of the year.

The Dandy Enchanted Tiki Room party of the year.

We dined on pizza, pineapple, and those super dandy tie dye cupcakes.  You know.  The ones that I told you all about in an earlier posting.

As you can see the baby did not find the all green cupcake.

(See that earlier blog posting for the details on the green cupcake.)

So he didn’t win the prize.

Of course we also had the Dole Whip.  Lots and lots of Dole Whip.

Mmmmm.

Party activities and fun?  Sure that happened too.

Basically all the ways possible to show our #DisneySide.

While the adults played Disney Trivia:

The kids watched Lilo and Stitch down in the media room.

Fitting don’t you think?

It was a dandy time had by all.

And that all green cupcake???

disneycelebration2No one found it.  So the prize was ALL MINE.

Want to make your own Dole Whip and don’t have a soft serve ice cream machine? Be sure to check out this copycat recipe on the blog HERE.
