When I first heard that the Tamagotchi was making a comeback I wasn’t really surprised. It was after all the favorite virtual pet of the late 90’s. For the past number of years toys from days gone by have been on trend for the holiday season. It’s as if the kids of the 80’s and 90’s now have children of their own or something. Okay that’s exactly how it is. Let’s face it. We all want our kids to experience the same magic and wonder of our own childhoods. So when a toy company brings our memories back into an updated version we are instantly hooked. Plus, the modern children of this day and age across America aren’t necessarily complaining as they are quite happy with the arrangement. They get fun toys that the parentals have been raving about for years. It’s a definitely win-win for all involved!

Favorite Virtual Pet To Make A Come Back – Tamagotchi
Now I have to admit that I was never the owner of America’s favorite virtual pet. I’m not as young as I might seem. Seriously. I was actually in college back in ’97 when these treasures first hit the shelves. But I do know there are some Millennials (namely my sister-in-law) who are ECSTATIC with the come back! I also know that my own children are going to love these things. What kid wouldn’t?
Virtual Pet Types
There are actually a few different types of Tamagotchi toys to choose from. All similar in nature but some with new and improved updates.

As a child of the 80’s I had so many of the following 80’s toys. Care Bears, My Little Pony, Cabbage Patch Kids, Simon and Strawberry Shortcake were my absolute favorites. Below are popular toys for girls and toys for boys.
