Oh the kids’ table. We’ve all been there. Starting out at that small table with our siblings and cousins. Thinking we’d eventually get promoted to the table with the adults and then find out that we still are at the kids’ table even when we come home from college.

At least that’s how it went for me. I’m thinking that even some years after I was married I would be at the table with the little kids. But in that case I was there to keep track of my own kids!

So perhaps we never truly escape the small table!

It gives parents and other adults the opportunity to enjoy each others company at the big table while the kids all sit together. Don’t get me wrong.
