It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of musicals. I’ve seen shows in places like London, New York City, and even at Tuacahn just to name a few. I’m curious if anyone even knows where Tuacahn is??? Naturally I love that the largest and oldest outdoor theater in the entire country is so close to my home. The Muny is a place that I can frequent often during the summer months and it never gets old. Right now the Muny is celebrating its 100th year with an fantastic schedule. One of my favorite musicals is Singin’ in the Rain and it opened last night at my favorite outdoor theater! Read on to find out why it’s one of my favorite musicals…
Singin’ in the Rain
Back in the day I was a ballet dancer. Okay not professionally or anything. Just from the time I was about 4 or 5 until I turned 11. Isn’t that when most every girl does ballet? So I danced and was in many a recital. It’s funny how I can remember to this day performing to Singin’ in the Rain with the rest of my dance class.
And I have these little gems to prove it.
Oh dear. The 80’s.
Singin’ in the Rain opened at The Muny last night and it’s sure to be a fan favorite here in St. Louis. Doesn’t it look fantastically done?

My husband and I will be seeing it for date night tomorrow. I cannot wait! Be sure to follow along on Instagram to see some of my first hand look at The Muny. It rained and stormed here tonight in the Lou. I guess it really could be singin’ in the rain tomorrow night!
Don’t miss your chance to see the show.
Singin’ in the Rain will be gracing The Muny’s stage until July 3rd. For tickets and more information visit muny.org or call (314) 361-1900.
