Tomorrow is the big day. I’m going under the knife. If you follow me on Instagram then you probably already know about the surgery but I’ll fill you in just in case you missed it. I’m having a double hernia repair. Having babies is wonderful and I love my kids very much… However, pregnancy can sometimes cause hernias and I’m the unlucky recipient of both an umbilical and an inguinal hernia. Now the umbilical one could have been around a lot longer or just reopened up — If that’s even a thing? I had an umbilical hernia at birth being a preemie but the doctors assured my parents that it would go away as I grew. Wrong. So here I am going in for surgery tomorrow morning bright and early and I’m rather stressed out about it. Just so many worries going through my mind at this moment. How’s a girl to cope? Focus on the recovery! Here’s what I plan on doing the next few days post-op while I rest.
How To Recover After Going Under The Knife
1.) Downton Abbey – I plan to watch the rest of the series. I’m only just a few seasons behind…
You can get the entire series .
2.) Coloring – I had the audiologist man pick me up a . Great way to de-stress.
I plan on using my favorite .
3.) Cross stitch – There are so many s that are perfect for just kicking back and recovering. It’s a very dandy hobby!
4.) Pride and Prejudice – After I finish off Downton then I’ll watch this old favorite.
By far the best film version. Are you a fan? I’m still kind of in shock over the price . So much less expensive than I paid for mine several years ago!
5.) Reading – I plan on catching up on my reading. Do you have any suggestions for a good book? I’m kind of leaning towards one of these:
, , and .
6.) – I need to get it finished already. So then I can get another one to do!
Am I the only mom who puts together building blocks of her very own? The Louvre is on sale .
So that’s my list of how I plan to recover after going under the knife. I also plan on getting lots of sleep.
Do you have any other suggestions? Let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to check in from time to time! Other than that I’ll probably be taking a break from the blog while I recover. Be back soon!
