Calling all Dancing Queens! The beloved musical set in Greek island paradise has arrived in the Lou and brought with it the legendary tunes from ABBA to fill the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Mamma Mia The Tour in St. Louis is set to bring so much fun to the stage. Here’s everything you’ll experience at the fabulous musical!
What to Expect from Mamma Mia The Tour in St. Louis
It’s always exciting when New York’s Broadway takes the road and when it lands on the stage of everyone’s favorite St Louis theatre, it’s just that much better! The national tour of Mamma Mia at the Fabulous Fox is no exception to the excitement.
The Fabulous Fox Theatre – St. Louis
My favorite place to blend in.
Oh how I love this theatre. There’s nothing else like it. The Fabulous Fox is and will always be fabulous. It’s the place that is home to fabulous performance arts events. It’s the place where I first fell in love with fabulous musical theater. It’s one of those places that takes your breath away no matter if it’s the first or twentieth time walking inside the fabulous lobby. It’s the place that we are so very lucky to have in our fabulous city.

Mamma Mia The Tour in St. Louis
I’ve seen Mamma Mia The Tour before and last night was just as magical as all the other times. It’s such a fun musical for a girl’s night out!
It’s the story of a daughter’s quest to discover who her dad is and the opportunity arrives on the eve of her wedding when she comes face to face with three possible dads (Bill Austin, Sam Carmichael, and Harry Bright). What follows is many a comedic escapade as Sophie Sheridan tries to keep the men concealed from her mother Donna. In addition to comedy (and there’s a whole lot of it with Donna Sheridan and her lifelong friends who formed the woman band, Donna and the Dynamos), there’s also the tale of love, heartbreak, second chances, and what ultimately constitutes family.

All of the music is phenomenal. Based on the songs of ABBA (written by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Tim Rice), you immediately be entranced and don’t be surprised when you feel like you’ve been transported back in time to your own dancing queen days.
