Disney vacations are all about creating magical memories, and what better way to create an even more magical time than with a delicious cake at the most magical place on Earth? Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, a child’s birthday party, or having cake just because, there are a few options for ordering a birthday cake at Disney World. With so many options and park locations, navigating the cake-ordering process can be a bit overwhelming, as was evident when planning on our most recent trip, but I think that I’ve done all the work for you! This guide will give you all the information you need for ordering the perfect birthday cake at Disney World.
How to Order a Birthday Cake at Disney World
A few months ago our family went on a Disney World vacation for a quick whirlwind of a long weekend. It was in celebration of the special event of finishing a really BIG project that I have been working on over the last year (I’ll share more about that in April) and ordering Mickey Mouse Celebration Cakes is so easy to do. It’s as simple as deciding on one of the many table service restaurants and then selecting a cake to be added to your reservation when you do advance dining reservations. (If you don’t plan ahead, you can still get a cake but will be limited to the types that are available. After you’ve been seated at the restaurant, let your server know that you’d like to have a celebration cake for your table and the server will tell you what the options are for limited quantities at that time.

Which Disney restaurants have cake?
I personally think that the cake served in Cinderella’s Royal Table, Beauty and the Beast’s Castle (Be Our Guest Restaurant), or the Crystal Palace are locations that are perfect for the most extravagant pictures, but it really depends on the theme you are going for. All of the table service restaurants have the option to get a Mickey Celebration cake at your table.
Disney World Specialty Cake
Are speciality cakes available at Disney World?
Perhaps you would prefer a dessert for your magical celebration that is more uncommon and not always served at Disney. Like the delectable pieces of carrot cake that are sometimes on the buffet table at table-service restaurants, but you want it as an entire cake. Or maybe there’s a specific theme that you are going for with a favorite character. When you are looking for something that is more personalized, you can special order a cake from While these cakes aren’t available to be enjoy within the park itself, delivered to your Walt Disney World resort. The Grand Floridian Resort and the Polynesian are the resorts closest to Magic Kingdom where speciality cake can be delivered.
For a specialty Disney cake, call Walt Disney World’s cake-ordering hotline at (407) 827-2253 and leave a message with your request. A cast member from the cake hotline will return your call, give you tips on where to have the cake served at a resort dining room or delivered to your hotel room, and what types of cakes are available. Cakes of this type will range anywhere from $75-$150+.
Are Disney World cakes available outside of the parks?
Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs has several unique Disney cake options and desserts to choose from. And since it’s in the Disney Springs area, you don’t actually have to go into one of the theme parks to get a Disney delicacy! This bakery filled with deliciousness has the ever popular Mickey Mousse cake in the following flavors: Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Dark Chocolate Mousse, and White Chocolate Mousse.
What is the Amorette’s Patisserie cake decorating experience?
At Amorette’s Patisserie you can feel like a Disney pastry chef! sign up to make your own Mickey Mouse dome cake. This special cake can be created as either Mickey or Minnie Mouse (depending on the day of the week) and consists of flavored chiffon cake, mousse and fruit jelly to create the works of art.
Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom
We loved having our very merry unbirthday party at the Crystal Palace and made memories that will last a lifetime.
And of course there are the sweet Winnie the Pooh characters that are part of the character dining experience at the Crystal Palace. Like Piglet!
