If you’ve known me for a while now then you know that I’m a HUGE fan of unique gifts. I think they are dandy. The best time to give unique items? As Valentine’s Day gifts. It shows a loved one that you put some extra thought into the gift. Especially if it’s personalized. Last year for Valentine’s Day I gave my audiologist man a personalized coordinates key ring.

When Banjo was just a wee lad we returned to the fountain for that picture above. One day I would like to get a family picture taken there. Perhaps 2016 is the year. But why the exact significance behind this fountain?
It’s the place where my audiologist man proposed. The day before Mother’s Day 2002. He had planned to take me biking up the River Road but the entire area was under water. It was raining and horrible weather. Unbeknownst to his impending proposition I suggested that we go up to the Lincoln sites in Springfield, IL. I knew he hadn’t been there before and well why not? Abraham Lincoln was a dandy President.
I found out later that the entire time he was thinking, “Where am I going to propose here???” We had just come out of Lincoln’s old home and viewed his outhouse of all places when we noticed a park across the street with this unique looking fountain. So we walked over to it. I have this thing about fountains and making wishes and the audiologist man knew it. So he had me make a wish and then asked what I wished for. I told him that if I told then it wouldn’t come true. He then asked if I had wished for a RING. That’s when he got down on one knee and proposed. In actuality I had wished for a kiss at the fountain but I got both a kiss and a ring so it was the truly the dandiest fountain wish ever!
So now it’s no secret that I’m drawn to gifts with coordinates on them and the reason behind it. Obviously when I saw these wall signs I thought they were dandy and I immediately wanted to buy tons of ’em!
