Everyone sit down for this news. Seriously. Sit down. There’s a new burger joint coming to Saint Louis. Yep. Shake Shack in Saint Louis! I heard it for myself this morning on Y-98. It was only a matter of time before this happened. After all the owner, Danny Meyer, is originally from here. Right now there are quite a few locations here in the United States and even around the world. New York is lucky enough to have tons of locations throughout just a few square miles. So it was time. Time to bring it home to the Lou.

At first when I heard the announcement on the radio my first thought was NOOOO. You know because of my gluten-free diet. WHY couldn’t this whole Shake Shack in Saint Louis thing had happened BEFORE that whole celiac disease thing came to light? Sigh. But guess what, friends? It’s going to be okay. There are plenty of gluten-free options at Shake Shack. I’m going to be able to enjoy the burger without the bun and the fries will be okay for me too. Okay and the shakes and frozen custard will be my staple. Yep this news is still dandy.
And for my friends who can eat gluten to your heart’s content…

I’ve heard it will be in the Central West End. Very trendy and very dandy.
