As you look around the St. Louis area this time of year you’re sure to see tons of holiday lights. Everywhere. A family favorite for the holiday season, the popular light displays turn the city into a winter wonderland each year – even when there’s no snow yet on the ground! It has indeed become a popular holiday tradition. Another annual tradition for many families is seeing any number of the wonderful St. Louis holiday shows at the Fabulous Fox. There are just so many Christmas shows to choose from!
2022 St. Louis Holiday Shows at The Fabulous Fox Theatre
It’s time to get into the holiday spirit as the Christmas season is now upon us! One of my fondest childhood memories is of watching A Christmas Carol at The Fabulous Fox with my Girl Scout troop back in the mid 1980’s. I loved everything about that show. From the performances of the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future to adorable Tiny Tim, the beloved Charles Dickens story came alive for me right there on stage. I think it’s where my love of majestic theaters and Broadway musicals began. And I had yet to even visit New York City!
My family and I had to miss out on a visit to the Fox with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer last weekend. Our oldest daughter performed in Nutcracker On Ice all weekend. It was her 6th year being in the festive ice skating show! That meant no trip to the North Pole for us. Call it a kick off to the kickoff to the season of Christmas events at the Fabulous Fox, I’m sure that the audience experienced a fabulous holiday celebration with Rudolph, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the misfit toys. We’ve seen it in the past and it’s such a fun Christmas show.

Mom tip: For the shows that start at 7:30pm, load the whole family up in the car and head out early from home, say right after dinner at 6pm. Munch on some candy canes and sip on hot chocolate as you drive by some of your favorite neighborhood Christmas lights on the way to the Fox!

For practically the second year in a row my daughter and I will be seeing Wicked. We saw it at the very end of 2021 and I cannot wait to take her to see it again.
