It’s time. The Moana movie is NOW finally here! I’ve been waiting and waiting to be able to tell you my thoughts on this gem. If you follow me on Instagram then you know that we saw the movie a while ago. I was just under strict orders to not tell you anything about it so I didn’t. This movie was kept top secret and for good reason. Oh you guys. It’s such a darling movie. Seriously. Gives you all the feels. There’s something in it for everyone to enjoy. So just listen to me and see this movie. Since it’s Thanksgiving weekend it’s even more so a good time to see Moana. We all know that this is a popular weekend to attend movies. So you for sure need to see it NOW. Tell your friends to see it NOW. Take them with you even! Then you will want to see it again and again all holiday season. It’s just that good and to get your truly on board here’s my top 5 reasons why it’s a must see.

5 Reasons To See The Moana Movie

1.) The entire family will love it. We were invited to see an advanced screening of the film at the beginning of November. The kids loved it and we adults loved it. Such a feel good movie about being brave and having confidence in yourself. Keep in mind that there are some scary parts in this film but my kids did just fine with it. And we saw it in 2D. I would imagine that the 3D version would have some jumping out of the screen parts that might be more scary for the younger viewers. Just a hunch.

2.) The soundtrack is amazing. There should be no doubt that the creators of Frozen would hit the mark again when it comes to catchy songs. The music in Moana is simply awe inspiring and beautiful. I want to see it again and again just for the songs. Definitely going to be something that our girl learns all the words to and I’m totally okay with that.

3.) The star power. Dwayne Johnson is the voice of Maui. He adds charisma and depth to the character unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed before in a Disney film. One can tell that he truly enjoyed his part. Hopefully this will bring more films of this type to his list of filmography.

4.) The funny animals. In true Disney fashion there are a couple of animal sidekicks in Moana. Of course the creators of Zootopia would include some funny furry/feathered friends and these little guys do not disappoint. The comedic moments with the animals had our kids laughing non stop. Definitely helped to alleviate the scary moments.

5.) The Hawaiian adventure. There’s just something about Hawaii. For me it’s a magical place full of so much wonder and adventure. Those elements and majestic scenery of the islands are depicted in this movie. It’s the story of a girl, against all odds, going out to find help for her people. To dig deep into her heritage and past. And that is the biggest reason to see this movie. Girls can indeed do anything.
