Three things: I love the Midwest, I love Branson, and I love Silver Dollar City. If you’ve never before been to this part of the country then I highly suggest it. Truly a great family vacation locale. Silver Dollar City in particular has long been a family favorite. It’s a Midwest theme park that makes you feel like you are going back in time. So many old time shops and attractions. Definitely a refreshing place from the outside world and a must see when you vacation in Branson, MO. Plus, there are tons of dandy Silver Dollar City events going on throughout the year.
Best Silver Dollar City Events Fall/Winter 2017
I grew up going to Silver Dollar City so it’s fun to now take my own family there. It’s always an enjoyable time and I really like being able to share my own memories with my children. And of course make new ones!
We haven’t been to the SDC in a few years so I was excited when we were invited to attend one of the upcoming events. Now to decide which event to attend!
Upcoming Silver Dollar City Events
- The National Crafts & Cowboy Festival is taking place September 13th – October 28th. This family friendly event will feature over 125 craftsmen and real authentic cowboys! Additionally this festival will have many country western shows to clap and stomp your feet to. Lots of western eats as well!
- An Old Time Christmas is an event that I’ve always wanted to attend. This year it’s taking place November 4th – December 30th. 70,000 square feet of light displays and decorations galore. Families walk along the Main Street, view some really fabulous Christmas shows, and kids will love Rudolph’s Christmas town!
All are in addition to the other Silver Dollar City dandiness!
And while we are in the area we are going to check out this other fun Branson attraction.
It’s a dinner cruise and show in one!
Now which SDC event should we attend?
The National Crafts & Cowboy Festival or An Old Time Christmas?
