Most people have a favorite ring to wear while traveling. This type of ring typically works as stand-in rings in place of an actual engagement ring or wedding band. Something that’s not the real deal and can be worn on vacation without the worry of losing a treasured precious ring. For many years now the popular travel ring of chose has been a simple silicone band. Go beyond the simplicity with travel wedding rings that are big on style and functionality!
5 Best Travel Wedding Rings To Wear On Vacation
Recently my husband I went on an absolutely amazing trip to Aruba. It was so nice to get away for a bit just to relax for a week. Aruba actually isn’t very big, 20 miles long and about 6 miles wide, with only one side of the island mostly inhabited. The side of the island facing the coast of Venezuela is where the beaches are, making the water very smooth with very little waves. The other side of the island is rocky with lots of cactus vegetation. In fact that side of the island doesn’t consist of many roads at all!
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation that is just spending time reading by the pool, taking dips in the warm water off the beach, and eating lots of gelato then this is the vacation for you. We loved it!
And of course there are some touristy things that you do not want to miss! Seeing the sunset at California Lighthouse was amazing and definitely worth the taxi ride.
Travel Wedding Rings
Whether you are taking a beach vacation from the United States to Aruba, the Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands or going across the pond to the United Kingdom, you probably don’t want to travel with a real ring. There’s always the concern about losing jewelry while on vacation. Tried and tested on my recent vacation to Aruba, these rings are all fashionable and fun. I never felt worried about leaving a ring behind in the hotel room or if it fell off into the pool.
Why should you wear a travel wedding ring on vacation?
Traveling without real diamonds can offer peace of mind. A real engagement ring sometimes carries unwanted attention as it can be a target for robbery, but there’s also the concern of it falling off into the ocean, pool, or city depending on the type of vacation you are on. Losing inexpensive faux engagement rings or stylish silicone rings won’t ruin your vacation or have you coming home from the trip disappointed.

Types of Travel Wedding Rings
There are a few different styles of travel wedding rings to choose from. You can of course go with the more traditional route of a faux flashy diamond engagement ring or keep it simple with a color gemstone. A birthstone ring perhaps? Either option is less expensive than a real diamond and you’ll feel like yourself if you aren’t a fan of the silicone ring look. (More on the silicone rings later.)
Cubic Zirconia Engagement Ring
This particular fake engagement ring is 18K white gold plated with tons of cubic zirconia stones and you cannot beat the price. It’s a 2 in one halo setting and I was pleasantly surprised by just how gorgeous it is. If something in sterling silver is more your style, there are plenty of those options available as well!

Other travel ring options:
As I’m sure you noticed at the beginning of this blog post, I got my husband a silicone ring to wear on our trip. I also got myself a few different types of silicone rings to try out. Instead of going with a classic looking silicone band, I wanted to have fun with some stylish looks!
Types of Silicone Rings
Let’s star
Classic Silicone Rings: These are the most basic type of silicone ring, often featuring a simple band design. They come in various colors and styles, making them versatile for both casual and formal wear. I chose to order my husband the classic silicone ring with the step edge because it’s so simple to his actual wedding band.

Silicone Diamond Rings: A silicone diamond ring is almost never going to be the real thing, but this particular one is just as stylish as it is simple. The one that I tried out in Aruba was a simple silicone band in a silver color with a tiny embedded gem. Not a real diamond but just the right amount a bling. And what’s really fun is the set came with several rings in multiple colors. Even some braided style to stack!

Silicone Fashion Rings: These rings are designed to be both durable and fashionable. The stylish look often features multiple colors with unique patterns and/or intricate designs. They are also a great way to express your personal style. I love how this white silicone ring has the look of a multifaceted stone with the silicone being cut to resemble that of a diamond. It also added a mix medium design with just the right amount of metal accent.

How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home
Use this simple method to measure your ring size at home! It’s particularly useful when ordering a ring online.
Trace an existing ring: If you have a ring that fits well, trace the inside circle of the ring onto a piece of paper. Make sure that you trace the widest part of the ring to get the best fit.
Measure the diameter: Using a ruler, measure the diameter of the circle. The diameter is the distance across the widest part of the traced circle.
Find a ring size chart online: Once you have the diameter measurement, consult a ring size chart to determine your ring size. These charts are widely available online or at a local jewelry store.
Additional tips:
Keep in mind that ring size can vary slightly depending on the material and style of the ring.

You can also use a piece of string or a strip of paper to measure your ring size. Simply wrap the string or paper around your finger and make sure it’s snug, but not too tight. With a pencil, mark the point where the ends overlap. From there measure the length of the marked section. Use a ring size chart to convert this measurement into your ring size.
By following the above steps, you can easily determine your ring size at home and find the perfect fit before ordering online!
