Have you ever heard of a black raspberry? They’re amazing! They’re not blackberries. Blackberries aren’t hallow. Black raspberries are. We went black raspberry picking last week. I finally got around to using them for other than snacking. I made some super yummy black raspberry and lime homemade popsicles. This recipe is easy to make and so delicious. The kids will love the combination of flavors and so will you!
How To Make Black Raspberry And Lime Homemade Popsicles
I have fond memories of my mom making homemade popsicles during summer vacation. The cool treats were quite refreshing. Definitely helped to make those long summer days playing the backyard less hot and more fun. These popsicles are quick and easy. Enjoy!
2 cups black raspberries
2 T lime juice
1 pouch juice drink ( I used Aldi’s reduced sugar ones)
Honey (just a squirt)
Vanilla Extract (just a splash to boost the flavors)
Combine all ingredients in a blender/ NutriBullet/ food processor. I didn’t strain the seeds out, you’re more than welcome to do that.
Admire the gorgeous color.
Pour into molds and place in freezer until set. I would give it at least 2 hours. And enjoy!
***Word to the wise… These stain in a bad way! They’re fantastic, but stain so much. I think they’re best enjoyed in swimming suits outside on a hot day. Not in nice clothing on a tan couch lol***
Have you ever had a black raspberry? I prefer them to red raspberries. They’re just a hint sweeter, and make for a delicious tangy frozen treat! The perfect summer popsicle flavor with a touch of lime added in. So dandy and so refreshing.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as my as we do!
