Take Father's Day breakfast up a notch with some candied bacon! Who doesn't love bacon? It's a staple for the breakfast table or even brunch. Brown sugar candied bacon is so easy to make and bakes up fast. That's right, bacon in the oven. No frying pan required!

Brown Sugar Candied Bacon Recipe for Father's Day Breakfast

At our house we really like to gather around the kitchen table for meals. Most nights we eat dinner together, even if it means eating dinner at 7 or 8 at night. With four kids, we have busy schedules! Breakfast is a meal that is a bit harder to sit down for. We all typically leave the house at different times in the morning. That doesn't mean that we never have breakfast together. Weekends are often breakfast time, particularly Sunday mornings before church. A favorite meal is also breakfast for dinner because honestly, breakfast is good for any meal. And breakfast for dinner is most definitely a favorite at our house!

A great addition for breakfast (or breakfast for dinner) is candied bacon. With simple ingredients, it's so easy to make this delicious recipe. A couple of weeks ago I made some candied bacon for the first time and it was a big hit. I'm talking an instant crowd pleaser at my house. Basically this type of bacon has become a new favorite at our house. And the best part is, the bacon is baked in the oven so there's less grease.

Easy Candied Bacon Recipe

​What you'll need to make candied bacon:

Package of bacon. You can use either regular bacon or thick cut bacon. You just might need to add some more baking time if the strips of bacon are really thick.

Brown sugar. Use as much brown sugar as you'd like but the more brown sugar you use, the more caramelizing takes place

How to make brown sugar candied bacon:

Line a broiler pan with aluminum foil and place the grill part on top. The foil really makes for easy clean up!

Place a single layer of bacon on the grill of the broiler pan.

Sprinkle with lots of brown sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until crispy.
