Any other year there would be a plethora or robot birthday party invitations. January of 2019 there’s nada. At least not in the local stores anyway. Of course I waited until the last minute and can’t order online! And there’s no time to make the invites when they have to be sent out in just a matter of hours. Next year I will be better prepared. Next year I will be start planning more in advance. Next year I will do better with this February birthday thing.
Turning 5: Robot Birthday Party Invitations
Our little guy is turning FIVE. To this point he has never had a birthday party. Of course he’s had the little family parties, but he has yet to have a friend party. Yet. This is the year. It’s his turn to have a friend party.

I think we’ve just been so busy with the live of 3 kids that it’s hard to do a friend birthday party. Especially when it’s right after the holidays. There’s just so much planning that goes into it. The little guy asked for a robot themed birthday party and for it to be held at home. Even more planning involved in that! I’m a big fan of birthday parties at places other than home, because then everything is done right there. The fun activity is right there, no prep, no clean-up. Just everything done for you!
So the other day, we set out to find robot invitations. Due to my procrastination, there was no time left to order said invitations online. I figured that a party store would most definitely have this type of invitation. Nope. Is my kid the only one who wants a robot themed party and not some over marketed, commercialized cartoon show? Five stores, while dragging the future 5-year-old with me, and one phone call later… I was only able to find some generic birthday invitations and robot stickers. *Sigh*
This mama should have just made the invitations. I kind of did with having to cut off all the Valentine hearts. Ha! There were only so many robot stickers available at the store.
Next year I need to be on my game with preparing earlier and order online! Below you will find some really cute robot invitations.
