We’ve been to Disney many, many times. Both to the land and to the world. Staying on property is definitely the way to go. No need to have your own transportation from park to park and it’s just so much easier. Of all the different Disney resorts, we’ve yet to stay at the Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. I do like to research and plan ahead though! If you are thinking of stay at Wilderness Lodge then hopefully the following information will help in your own planning.
All About Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is one of the fabulous resort hotels located at Walt Disney World. Like the park’s other resort hotels, Wilderness Lodge offers exciting dining and entertainment options to keep the magic going in between days of exploring the park.
Here are a few of the features that make the Wilderness Lodge a unique experience you won’t soon forget.
Pools
If you want to beat the heat on a summer day by spending time at the pool, Wilderness Lodge has two for you to choose from. Copper Creek Springs pool is the place to go for high-energy fun. This massive outdoor heated pool features a 67-foot water slide as well as a water play area catered towards children.
For a more relaxing day in the water, head to Boulder Ridge Cove pool. This relaxed recreational area features a whirlpool spa and shaded sitting areas.

Dining
The restaurants in the Wilderness Lodge all showcase foods from the American West. For example, Artist Point serves up flavors famous in the Pacific Northwest in an establishment built to resemble a lodge at a national park.
When the adults in your group need some time to unwind, they can head to the Territory Lounge, a laid-back lounge with a log cabin theme.

Electrical Water Pageant
Every night in the lagoon outside the resort, the Electrical Water Pageant takes place. This brightly colored parade across the lagoon surface features several lit up sea creatures as well as American flags for a night time display that is both magical and inspiring.
Activities
If your family can’t get enough of Mother Nature, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the perfect accommodation choice for you.
Consider renting bikes for a trip down the paved Fort Wilderness trail. It’s a mile each way and the scenery is beautiful. The nature trail along Bay Lake, boating and fishing excursions are also options.
If you’re lucky, you may be chosen to be a “flag family,” participating in the raising of the flags each morning. Simply ask for your name to be put on the list and cross your fingers. It’s a truly unique experience, not available at any other Disney resort.
