On Tuesday night the audiologist man and I attended an advanced movie screening of Doctor Strange in 3D. Friends, he was so excited to see this movie. I was excited to be able to take him to it, but honestly I knew nothing about the storyline. Truth be told I’ve never even picked up a comic book. Please don’t tell Stan Lee. It’s just never been my thing before but perhaps it should be because the movies based on comics are seriously so dandy. Take it from me… going in I knew nothing about Doctor Strange and exiting the theater I can’t wait to see more! (A second Doctor Strange movie perhaps?!) Read on to find out why YOU gotta see Doctor Strange in 3D.
Why you gotta see Doctor Strange in 3D:
- The storyline. Now I don’t want to give too much away because you need to see the movie for yourself…but I’ll give you a little teaser and of course the trailer below. Dr. Stephen Strange is a very gifted neurosurgeon. Quite cocky but in my experience most neurosurgeons are. *wink* When he’s no longer able to use his gifts in medicine he goes in search of a way to heal himself. One that modern medicine couldn’t provide. Along the way he discovers that there are powers even greater than medicine and realizes that he’s needed for another calling in life.
- The special effects. This movie was made for 3D. Sure you can see it in 2D but in 3D it’s awesome. Doctor Strange in 3D was seriously amazing. We both left the theater in awe of the amount that went into this movie. It’s unlike anything that we’ve ever seen before. So much technology went into the making of this film and it’s only going to get better and better from here! Although I’d say that it can’t get much better than this.
- The cast. So much talent in this movie. Benedict Cumberbatch… Rachel McAdams… Benjamin Bratt… Chiwetel Ejiofor… Mads Mikkelsen… Tilda Swinton… Seriously star studded! And Benedict Wong is hilarious. He’s a newcomer for me (you may have seen him in other films), but I’ll definitely be on the look out for him in the future. Oh and of course Stan Lee makes his usual cameo!
Oh and here’s the trailer that I promise you:
