I believe date night is very important for married couples. I also know that coming up with new ideas, finding the extra money for a babysitter, or working the time into a busy schedule can be difficult to make that happen. With two little boys running around at home My Man J and I were feeling the effects of a lack of date nights in our lives. I decided to look into how we could do date night at home. I’ve come up with a few really fun ideas and I thought I would share one with you today. (This could also double as a birthday present for any movie lover in your family.)
I wanted to surprise My Man J so I picked up a few boxes of candy at the store, and wrapped them up with a pack of microwave popcorn, a couple of popcorn bags that I had on hand, and movie tickets that I made to watch a movie on Netflix that we haven’t seen yet.
He was totally surprised! We have movie night every once in a while at home, but by adding candy and making it a cute surprise made it just a little more special.
Would you like more ideas for “at home date nights”? What are your experiences with keeping date night alive with little ones at home?
