Happy Thanksgiving!!!

While you are eating turkey and perusing the Black Friday Deals on the most wanted dolls for Christmas 2015…

Let’s have a look back at the dolls of MY era.  The forgotten 80s dolls.

Oh how I miss the 80s.  I miss the simple life and get all nostalgic when thinking of my childhood.  It was after all a pretty dandy childhood.  One filled with a lot of dolls.  I guess I never realized just how many dolls I had until I started to think about it.  I had truly forgotten.  Where did all the memories go to anyway?  Do YOU realize just how many forgotten 80s dolls we each had?  I mean think about it…  There are so many dolls like American Girl, Barbie, Cabbage Patch, and Strawberry Shortcake that have withstood the hands of time.  But whatever happened to some of our most favorite dolls from childhood?  The forgotten 80s dolls.

Where have all the forgotten 80s dolls gone???

My Child

I had this doll and she looked just like me.  Just. Like. Me.

Kimberly

My grandmother gave me this doll in 1984.  I may or may not have been 6 years old.  Now that just might be giving away my dandy age.  ‘Ole Kimberly looked nothing like me but the strange thing is…

I did grow up to become a cheerleader in junior high and high school.

This was the one and only Maxie doll I had.  She really tried to give Barbie a run for the money.  Only it just didn’t happen.

Hot Looks

I had Mimi.  Funny that I remember her name this many years later, right?

Why this doll did not give me nightmares but I had the one in purple.  I would even sneak rides on my mom’s bike so I could put the “real” baby in the seat on the back.  I cannot even imagine what the neighbors thought.  What a creepy doll.

Which dolls did you have as a child?  These were my favorites.  Who am I missing?  Let’s discuss!
