Free Printable Wicked Movie Activities for Kids
When my oldest daughter turned 10, and before she entered middle school, I took her on a trip to New York City specifically to see Wicked. My husband actually surprised us with the trip. It was also for her 10th birthday and we had so much fun seeing the other NYC sites together! Ivy has always been a fan of musical theatre and the theater arts. It’s something that we often enjoy together. She had long been wanting to see Wicked for so long and had never been old enough when the show came through St. Louis. So naturally the first time she ever saw the musical was in the Big Apple (her first time every in that particular city) and on Broadway (the optimal experience). We’ve loved being able to experience the musical together a few times now and I cannot wait to take her to see the Wicked movie!

Wicked The Movie
The life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West will be released at the movies on November 22nd. Like in the musical Wicked, the story that will be seen in movie theaters everywhere is a precursor to the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The unlikely friendship of Glinda (the Good Witch) and Elphaba (the Wicked Witch) that develops at Shiz University quickly became a fan favorite that has been adored by generations. In place of the musical stylings of Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, you’ll be introduced to the vocal music of Ariana Grande (as Glinda) and Cynthia Erivo (as Elphaba) in the Wicked movie.
Finally the story is being brought to real life on the big screen for even more people to enjoy, especially if they haven’t been able to see the musical. I’m excited to see what the entire creative team does with the movie. What in store for the costume design? Will there be a new character? New songs? I cannot wait to find out!!!
