I love to travel and a favorite place of mine is New York City. Sometimes traveling can be difficult on a gluten free diet. (I still can’t believe I’ve bee living this lifestyle for 2 years!) But not the case while in NYC! There are so many options for eating gluten free in New York City. Many of the restaurants specialize in gluten free dining and menus. The perfect place to vacation for those living gluten free!
Two things that I’ve missed eating on a regular basis since being diagnosed with celiac disease? Fried chicken and waffles. Pair them together and my life is even more complete. If you are looking to eat gluten free in New York City then look no further than Friedman’s. I went a few years back with some blogging friends (Soccer Mom Life and A Star In My Own Universe) while attending Blogger Bash in NYC. We took an Uber all the way across town and I’m so glad that we did. I’ve been wanting to go back ever since! Seriously so delicious and 100% gluten free.

There’s a wide variety on the menu and the price is right.
Friedman’s is known for mindful eating.
Of course I just had to order the Fried Chicken & Cheddar Waffle.
Was it ever delish.
Another treat that I miss out on these days are french fries. So often they are either coated in wheat or fried with other wheat containing items. Not at Friedman’s!
These herb fries were amazing.
Next time around I’d like to try either the Friedman’s Burger on a gluten free bun or the BLAT (Bacon/Lettuce/Avocado/Tomato) on gluten free bread. Or both. I’ll have to go for lunch and for dinner! Sounds awesome, right? Now I’ll . You can discover more about Friedman’s HERE.
