It’s no secret that I love gel nails. The look. The feel. The durability. All the things. But the removal process? Not my favorite. Until now. Read on to find out the best way to remove gel nails at home!
How To Remove Gel Nails At Home
There are a few different methods for removing gel nails. Tricks of the trade that I learned on my visits to the nail salon. (Before I started doing my own gel nails at home.) But those methods are messy. Soaking in acetone polish remover or placing a soaked cotton ball on each nail with foil wrapped around it. That would tack 15-20 and was such a chore. Now I just use the GelMoment Flake Off Gel Remover. It’s amazing. See how easy it is to use below!

Easy DIY Gel Nails Removal
The GelMoment Flake Off Gel Remover method is so quick and easy.
- Simply rough up the top of the gel you want to remove and brush on Flake Off.
- Brush on a thick layer of Flake Off.
- Leave on for 5 minutes.
- Remove the residue with a GelMoment Cuticle Pusher.
*If you have multiple layers of gel polish on then you might need to use additional Flake Off or leave it on longer.
*Avoid getting the Flake Off on your skin because (like acetone) it can cause irritation.
