I don’t know what my deal is this week but I can’t seem to sleep in past 6:45 a.m. It’s so frustrating. Mostly because I love sleep and dreaming. However, instead of laying in bed trying to fight it for the hour and half before my kiddos wake up I’ve been trying to take advantage of it. This early morning in particular I did a bit of soul searching. I realized that I haven’t been giving myself time to work on the things I love. Photography. I love taking pictures. I thought for the longest time that I wanted to do strictly baby/ toddler photography. Recently however, I keep seeing the “perfect” angle for a landscape picture. So I’m shooting it!
I saw this bend in the road and since I didn’t have my camera on me I knew I had to come back and get a shot.
These weren’t from this morning, but they’re some of my other landscape pictures. I took them at sunset. I haven’t really ever shot during the “golden hour” before. I liked it!
I’m kind of getting a kick out of taking pictures of other people taking pictures. This might be my favorite one!
Are you setting time a side for yourself to something you just totally love?! I was only out for about 20 minutes the two times I went out to take these pictures. It made such a difference in my day (well this morning is still happening, but it feels good). I think it’s so important to make time for yourself and not get lost in going through the motions of the day. Give yourself 20 minutes. It matters. You matter!
