Instant Family Instant Hit – Lunch With Sean Anders
A few weeks ago I was able sit down over lunch at Pappy’s Smokehouse with Director and Producer Sean Anders. Instant Family is his life. Sure, as in most movies, there are parts that are added in to expand the story. Parts that didn’t necessarily happen in this case but have happened in other families. So much research went into this film to depict The basis of this film is the story of how Sean Anders and his wife’s family became an instant one.

Oh you know. Just lunching today with @theseananders here in the Lou @pappyssmokehouse. ✨ Such a genuinely nice guy. I’m so impressed with his positivity and inspiration in sharing the important message of every child deserving a family. So many children need someone in life. In your own way be that someone. He didn’t just write an amazing film about the process of fostering and adopting. He lived it. Be sure to see @instantfamily and share its dandy, beautiful message. ❤️
Instant Family Sean Anders
I was beyond impressed with the way in which Sean Anders spoke of his family. So much joy behind his words and smile. It appears that his family started out on sort of a whim when he didn’t want to be that “old dad”. Just like in the film, he and his wife attended an adoption fair to meet kids who were in the foster care system. Sean said the fostering classes and all that entails took approximately 4 months. Shortly there after three siblings were placed with them and then one year later they went Through the entire process they never 100% expected anything to come of it and chose to keep their expectations low in case it didn’t work out. As a mom blogger these were the things that really resonated and touched my heart. The fact that Sean and his wife have set out to break the stigma that is behind the foster care system and to share with others… amazing and beautiful. They didn’t just go through the process themselves, they opened their world to others to raise awareness and to show that there are so many kids who need families.
Adoption is near and dear to my heart. My own grandmother was orphaned as a child and taken in by a local family. While they never officially adopted her, they were her family. I also have 4 nieces and a nephew who joined our forever family through adoption. So much happiness truly comes from opening your heart and becoming an instant family.
Gotta see Instant Family this weekend!!!
Going into the week of Thanksgiving this is the movie to see together as a family. Because it’s about family and what family truly is. Family isn’t just blood. It’s the people who love each other. People who are there for you always. No matter what. Adoption is about love.
