There are tons of different lesser known Halloween movies to choose from and all are classic scary movies perfect for watching all spooky season long. The best part about the classics is they aren’t the scariest movie options out there. Most are thrillers. If you are looking for a non horror genre then go with the classics!

7 Lesser Known Halloween Movies That You Need To Watch

My husband and I always pick a scary movie to watch each Halloween. Not too, too scary because I can’t handle that… But something creepy. Mostly thrillers.

Or we will watch something entirely low key with our kids. Like over the weekend we had movie night and introduced the kids to the cult classic, Hocus Pocus. They loved it. There were a few eyebrow raising words that I had forgotten all about being in the film. Like I had to discreetly tell my children that the one word meant tall and the other word meant innocent children. (The innocent child explanation actually came from a friend and it’s genius!) Oh parenting.

Perhaps we won’t show our kids a Halloween movie again anytime soon. Although there are two Disney ones on the below list that they might be able to watch. Stay tuned to find out what my husband and I watch on Halloween this year. It’s only 3 days away!
