7 Lesser Known Halloween Movies That You Need To Watch
My husband and I always pick a scary movie to watch each Halloween. Not too, too scary because I can’t handle that… But something creepy. Mostly thrillers.
Or we will watch something entirely low key with our kids. Like over the weekend we had movie night and introduced the kids to the cult classic, Hocus Pocus. They loved it. There were a few eyebrow raising words that I had forgotten all about being in the film. Like I had to discreetly tell my children that the one word meant tall and the other word meant innocent children. (The innocent child explanation actually came from a friend and it’s genius!) Oh parenting.
Perhaps we won’t show our kids a Halloween movie again anytime soon. Although there are two Disney ones on the below list that they might be able to watch. Stay tuned to find out what my husband and I watch on Halloween this year. It’s only 3 days away!

2.) Wait Until Dark
An oldie but goodie. I didn’t see this until college and it totally freaked me out. Just wait for the end. It will really get you.

3. ) Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte
This one is quite haunting. Try watching it in a dark cabin in the middle of nowhere Montana. That’s where I saw it for the first time. So, so, so creepy!

My husband and I watched this while we were dating. It’s filmed in very limited scenes/rooms so that makes it quite unique, too.

5.) Gaslight
More of a psychological thriller but definitely a must see.

6.) Child of Glass
Here’s another one of the movies when Disney took part in the creepy films for families to enjoy. Just preview it before hand and make sure it’s not too scary for your little ones.

You can never go wrong with a good Alfred Hitchcock thriller. This one will keep you guessing throughout!

No matter what you're looking for romance, drama, comedy there are plenty of classics that, if you haven't seen them yet, now's the perfect time. After all, if the past couple of months cooped up in our homes has taught us anything, it's that there's nothing better than a movie to take us to a place that's far, far away from our current one. These are modern classics, the best of the best, the movies that millions of people are probably jealous that you're getting to see for the first time. There are a few that might be outside your comfort zone, and a couple that'll introduce you to cultures and environments you know nothing about. This list may be long, but FOMO is eternal. Now's the perfect time to catch up on the films that your friends can't
