I know today is the 1st of March, and the whole “New Year’s Resolutions” bit has lost it’s excitement. You’re either right on track for accomplishing your goals, you’ve decided to focus on other things, or you’re in need of a little modification to keep being successful. I was given the opportunity to do a MealEnders review and giveaway for MealEnders lozenges. At first I wasn’t sure about doing it, but then I realized that they would totally help me keep on track with my goal of taking control of my eating and getting healthy! Have you heard about MealEnders? They are craving control lozenges. Let me give you a little bit of info on them and share my battle with you and how these babies are aiding in my triumph!
On the MealEnders website you can read that “MealEnders Signaling Lozenges are a revolutionary way to help beat overeating, master portion control and curb snacking by clearing cravings from the mouth and mind. MealEnders’ combines the best of food science and behavioral psychology to offer a low-calorie and stimulant-free way to fight the urge to overindulge.” Sounds pretty good right? I was skeptical about them. I was unsure how these little guys were going to help me stop over eating.
Now for a bit of my story. I’ve come to realize recently that I’m an emotional eater. It doesn’t matter how full I feel or how recently I just ate, if I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed my first reaction it to grab something to eat. I remember when we started working on having our oldest son take regular naps I was stressed. I was home alone and when I laid my baby down, he’d cry for a minute or two, and I would walk right into the kitchen to grab something to eat. I didn’t even realize I was doing it. My first thought wasn’t to call a friend to chat until he relaxed it was to pick up some food. It was my escape, and has been for a long time.
Fast forward to the present and I’ve been blessed enough to pin point what emotions exactly trigger it, and I’m working on that. Not to mention I’m seeing the results. There are, however, those times when I feel the “I’m full” signal but I’m just stressed and want a scoop of ice cream. That’s when I pop a lozenge in, sit back, not chew, and savor it.
The product. They come in four flavors: Citrus, Cinnamon, Chocolate Mint, and Mocha. My first impressions were silly. I was describing them as a Mr. Potato Head who felt queezey. Ha! I’m come one, the citrus one kind of do look that, right? Not to mention the best part is that they’re free of: gluten, drugs (nothing addictive), herbs, and high fructose corn syrup! They’re also kosher and low fat! So awesome!
The experience. They’re small hard “candies” covered in a soft coating. You only suck on them. This is the important part. Once I made it through the outer layer of the citrus flavor my tongue started tingling! I was freaking out a bit. I had no idea that was supposed to happen. I wanted to chomp down and finish it, but that’s not what you’re supposed to do and I wanted to give an accurate review, following the instructions. I didn’t time it exactly, but it was nearly 20 minutes from the time I put it in my mouth until it was all gone.
The result. By the time I was done, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t want to eat. My body had the amount of time it needed to let me know I was full and I didn’t really need any food. For the longest time I’ve always thought if I could just find something to suck on and keep my mouth busy I wouldn’t eat more than I needed. I usually turned to mints, but found that I was chewing them up and would eat 4 or more of them. The MealEndres gave me exactly what I was looking for! They’re not the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted but they’re cleansing. I don’t want to eat the whole bag. I’m satisfied with just the one.
All in all I agree with the founder Mark Bernstein “Our product will assist you in implementing healthy eating practices. It will only work, however, if you have a commitment to lose (or maintain) weight and follow through with eating less.” I do not think these are a miracle pill that will help you kick off weight without work. I DO, however, believe that if you use these as an aid to help you in your goal to stop eating when you’re full, I think you’ll have success. I DO NOT think you should starve yourself and use these as some way to stay off hunger signs. If you are hungry eat, enjoy every single mouth full, and stop when you feel the full signals. There you have it. My MealEnders review.
