These mummy rice krispies treats are perfect for the school Halloween party! At our school we can’t take in outside food for parties unless it is prepackaged. I’m sure that’s the case at most schools these days and I’m thankful for that because we have a child with a peanut allergy. It’s really easy to take in the food packages to the school nurse to get approved, but I get that it can also be frustrating, too. Just another step to take in our already busy lives. But it is worth it when it comes to children with food allergies. This way everyone can enjoy the party. I’ve found that the best way to work around the precautions is to take in prepackaged food items that the kids can actually use to create their own treat. It makes for a fun activity at the party, too!
For a long time my go to treat idea is for kids to decorate individually wrapped rice krispie treats at the classroom party. In years past I’ve used these ready made rectangles for kids to create reindeer. They turned out super cute! This year I decided that mummy rice krispies treats would be a great treat/activity for the Halloween party. So easy to make and only require 3 ingredients.

The perfect addition to the school Halloween party. I love being able to combine a treat with an activity. By combining the two together then you have plenty of time for all the games and other party fun. Be sure to check out the other yummy Halloween recipes on the blog HERE.
