Stitch People: Cross Stitch People Giveaway

These days I’m doing a lot of cross stitching.  I was a fan of this type of craft in the past (mostly in childhood and early teens) but then life just got in the way.  I became busy with high school, college, getting married, more college, kids, work… so busy that I sort of gave up cross stitch.  To be honest I found that most of my hobbies went by the wayside.  Sad isn’t it?  Fortunately about a year ago I decided to give it a go again.  I noticed a few friends on social media were cross stitching and I thought, “I know how to do that!”  One friend in particular was working from a pattern book that entailed creating her own cross stitch people and I was like, “Tell me about this Stitch People that you speak of.”

Stitch People was started by Lizzy Dabczynski-Bean.  She took her love of crafting and cross stitch to a whole new level by sharing her graphic design talents with others.  I think that’s my favorite part of the whole thing (besides the dandy cross stitch patterns), her taking something that she enjoyed doing and using her talent to bring joy to so many!

In addition to the book you will also find helpful videos on the Stitch People website.  Basically Ms. Lizzy wants to make sure that you too can accomplish this addictive skill.

Complete instructions, design options, suggestions, and sheets to photocopy are all found within the pages of Stitch People.  I’d be willing to bet there are thousands upon thousands of different combinations of cross stitch characters to be made with the help of this great book.  Seriously.  Various clothing/hair styles abound.  There’s even accessories and pets to feature in your personalized cross stitch masterpiece!

You’ll want to make a personalized cross stitch person for everyone in your family!  I’ve also found that cross stitching is stress relieving.  Life is busy.  We often put too much on our plate.  Taking the time to just sit down and relax with an enjoyable hobby is something that I’ve found to help me out a great deal.  It puts my mind at ease and on something else entirely.  Just some me time cross stitching away.
