I’ve found the best lip color on the planet. Seriously. The best. It goes on liquidy smooth and lasts all day. Keep in mind that I’ve never been a wearer of lipstick. Frankly the thought scared me. I’m just not very talented when it comes to makeup and so I wear very little. Clear lip gloss and chapstick was always my go to “color”. Until now that is. In January I decided that this would be the year of the lipstick for me. I figured that a little color in my life would be a good thing. However, the idea of drawing with a lip liner pencil made me nervous. Remember that I’m not at all talented with makeup application so I had no idea of where or how to even begin. And that’s where this Summer Sunset LipSense review comes in!

I can’t really remember when exactly it was that I first saw LipSense. I’m positive it was on social media, but overnight I just started seeing it everywhere. Tons of my friends were using this great new lip color and they swore by it. So I decided to give it a try and I was instantly hooked. Mainly because it goes on so easily (for someone like me who used to only use lip gloss) and it lasts all day. Plus, I don’t have to use a lip liner! That’s definitely a win-win in my book.

Shortly after my friend Karen became a distributor for LipSense cosmetics she asked me if I would do a review on the blog for her. I said of course because hello, I was already using the product and LOVED it. Karen sent me the complete set (lip color, gloss, and remover) in this adorable packaging.

I was beyond excited to open it up and find the pretty color I had selected: Summer Sunset

Can I just tell you that this color is amazing? It is. There are so many great LipSense colors to choose from so I must admit that it was difficult to decide on just one color to review. But I can honestly tell you that Summer Sunset is now my go to color. It’s the perfect color I think for all year round… even if it has summer in its name!

LipSense lip color is really easy to apply. There is a bit of a learning curve but I found that the process is not that difficult at all. As long as you follow the steps then I have no doubt that you too can be LipSense pros! When it comes to application I figured the best way to demonstrate this would be via video. So I made a video just for all my dandy readers and much to my surprise I had a few “helpers” join in during filming. Life as a mom never gets old. Always a new adventure every day.
