How do you feel about haul posts? You know like when someone goes and buys a bunch of stuff (i.e. beauty products or clothes) and then tells you all about them? I’m kind of okay with it. But let’s be honest what do we ALL like more than beauty products and clothes? Food. That’s right, FOOD! I love a cute new tank top as much as the next ready-for-summer-girl. But what do I love more? Being 100% satisfied with my food. All too often I end up having a mediocre lunch or dinner that I just regret even eating, because I know there are delicious foods out there… I just need to find them! Well in case you are a Target shopper I thought I’d share with you my recent Target Haul of foods you HAVE to throw in your grocery cart the next time you go, and ones you should pass up.
Let’s start with what you should pass up.
1.Chicken Caesar Wrap
I absolutely love Red Robin’s Chicken Caesar Wrap. They’re always so tender and fresh. So when I saw this I thought I’d give it a try, in the hopes of finding a go-to lunch. That was not the case at all. I couldn’t even find the dressing, so I needed to add more. The chicken was dry, and the lettuce has that left-in-the-fridge-too-long taste to it. Not a fan. Pass it up!
2. Cinema Snack Ice Cream (the top scoop… cookie dough in on the bottom).
I was not a huge fan of this. When I looked at the carton I thought “Well pretzels, caramel, and chocolate dipped chips sounds pretty good in ice cream.” Shame on me for not reading the fine print “Popcorn flavored ice cream.” I had a scoop and couldn’t put my finger on what was off. Then I read that. Seriously it could’ve been so good, but the butter flavoring (I’m a huge butter pecan fan for the record) was just too much of an added flavor in this mix up. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for it. Otherwise I say pass.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way let’s move onto what you should definitely NOT pass up!
1. Archer Farm Dill Pickle Chips
Wholy smokes are these bad boys delicious! Like eat-in-one-sitting good. But don’t! Because then you won’t have any for later. I’m so ticked that they’re “limited time only.” I don’t know how accurate that is since the first time I bought these was in October. I’m not complaining. They are so good! They don’t have that nasty jar of pickle taste. They taste like fresh dill. You can even see the dill on each chip.
Too good. Buy 5 bags, you won’t be sorry.
2.White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Ice Cream! (bottom scoop)
For our anniversary last year the Hubs and I went to a beach town in Michigan. We stopped a cute ice cream parlor where I tried Hershey’s Road Runner ice cream. A white chocolate ice cream with as raspberry swirl and dark chocolate truffles. It was so good! I’d been looking every where for it since and hadn’t found it, until I happened upon it at Target! It’s not called the same name or the same brand, but it was close. It was so good. I’m not usually a raspberry fan, but there is just something about how those flavors mesh together that just can’t be beat. If you can find it, try it!
3. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (the other scoop of ice cream in the “cinema snack” ice cream cone picture). It’s no secret that I love chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. So good! It’s my go to. I’ve tired just about every box store brand of it. I always come back to Edy’s with Tollhouse chips in it! Too good. But if you can’t find it, Target’s brand is pretty good. There are a lot of cookie dough ball in the carton. You just can’t complain about that 😀
The last thing I bought was a replacement for a horrible mistake I made. I like having a hard plastic reusable cup to keep water in. Well I also have two little boys who like to pour their juice it in. I couldn’t find my cup for the longest time. When I did find it, one of my boys had dropped something in it and the smell coming from it was terrible. I knew it was going to take a deep clean in the dishwasher for it to be better. I threw it in now problem. Well When I took it out, this is what I found.
Total failure! I looked on the bottom and sure enough “top wrack only” was on that sticker! Guh! So while we were at Target I walked through their dollar section and found this cute polka dot cup. It was only $3, I couldn’t pass that up compared to the $12+ everything else seemed to be. This one isn’t even allowed in the dishwasher, and that’s find with me!
Well I hope you liked this post. Do you want to see more haul posts? What kind of stores would do like to see one from? What about the topic, did you like it about food? Or would you rather see something about clothing or maybe make up? Let me know! I’m willing to give suggestions a try!
