I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  I’m just a modest dressing kinda gal.  Those who know me well know this already but in case you are new to Seeing Dandy… In no way, shape, or form do I judge anyone who chooses to dress differently than I do.  Life is about people being different from each other.  I truly believe that is what makes the world go round.  Our differences.  So I wouldn’t ever expect everyone to dress just like me.  Dressing in modest attire is simply part of my world.  It always has been and always will be.  For me.  I can remember as a teenager not being able to wear certain styles during the summer months and how frustrating that could be.  As an adult I even go through some of those same frustrations.  Especially when summer rolls around.  Because it’s so very hot outside.  Particular frustration at the moment:  Where’s a girl to find modest summer dresses?  Especially when dress designs in general are more popular in sleeveless, strapless, and shorter styles.  It’s a battle that I face often but along the way I’ve found some go-to-places where I’ve never been disappointed:  , , , , and LuLaRoe.

I cannot say enough about Shabby Apple.  I have more than a few of their dress.  I love, love, love ’em.  Designer dresses meet affordable prices.  This particular one screams summer and it has pockets!  You can get it .

What a fun print for summer!  My favorite thing about this particular shop is the ability to make any dress your very own.  You can select your own sleeve length, skirt length, and even neckline!  My dress pick is available and can be altered to fit your own style.

Modest Summer Dress #3:  LuLaRoe with Nikki

I’ve known Nikki for years.  Seriously years.  Like since she was 12 and I was 17?  Oh wow.  I sure hope I wasn’t older than that but it’s entirely possible.  That makes me feel just the slightest bit old.  I was one of her summer camp counselors at girl’s camp.  That really takes me down memory lane.  Anyway, my closet is full of LuLaRoe dresses.  I’m addicted.  They are smart and fun with varying prints you can’t get anywhere else.  These maxi dresses are just the thing for summer and can be found via Nikki’s LuLaRoe Facebook page HERE.

Modest Summer Dress #4:  DownEast

I shop online from DownEast but also visit the store whenever I’m visiting family in St. George, Utah.  It’s one of my favorites for sure.  I’m also a huge fan of their layering tees.  This Sweet and Simple dress is just that.  It’s perfect for dressing up or down all summer long.  Just sweet and simple.  Get this style .

I have several dresses from Mikarose and each are more perfect than the last.  They are high on quality and there are so many different styles to choose from.  With the flowy style and right amount of lace on this particular dress it’s perfect for summer.  It comes in 4 different beautiful colors and available to order .
