Okay, guys, two things (really there are like 17 things I could talk about, but we’ll start with 2!). First, I’m having laptop issues so that’s why I haven’t blogged in what seems like the longest time. Second, My Man J and bought a new house! Well okay, we’re buying a new house. Closing should happen in the middle of August. It feels so far away, but so close too. Like two weeks! Yeah! Since we’re buying a new house I thought I would take my time here on the blog, and blog about it! It’s a new series I’m calling “We Bought A House” or “WBAH.” I’ll share with you the projects for the house, the woes (I hope there aren’t any of those), and all other things house related. It’s basically all I’m thinking about so I figure why not post about it and share it with you?!
Before I jump into all of my hauls from different stores on killer deals for cute decorating things. I thought I should probably start out by showing you the new house! Right!?It’s a totally cute 3+ bedroom ranch style home with a day light basement. It’s in the country. Neither My Man J nor I ever lived in a house with well and septic growing up so this should be a new experience. It has a pretty decent sized backyard that is all fenced in. We saw this one in our first round of home showings and I can’t believe it’s going to be ours!
Seriously though, I don’t know how we got lucky enough to make this ours! We some how were able to negotiate this rockin’ play set into the deal! I can’t wait until we close so I can get in there and paint and start putting a decorating flair of my own in our new home! It has so much space I’m going to try and spread out what furniture we have but I’m not sure if we have enough to fill it. That’s okay! Who doesn’t love a good hunt for that perfect piece of furniture?!
Anyways, over the next weeks I’ll be posting about the ins and outs of our home buying experience, painting the rooms, decorating, and all of those other tid bits. Also I thought I’d post a video too, because what’s a new house purchase without a video tour!? ( I wanted to wait until we actually close on the house before showing you the inside!) I hope you’ll enjoy being apart of my journey turning this new house into a new and welcoming home. I know I’ll be happy to share it with you!
p.s. I tried 3 times to put the watermark on these images, but the picture would. not. save! Seriously I just want my laptop fixed!
